Default EGR and DPF delete

Fist time poster here.... I am new to the diesel world, just got a 2003 F250 7.3L and what to start doing some mods. I was reading up on egr and dpf deletes...I am a little confused but would like to do this.
I have searched this forum for information but if anyone wants to expand on explaining this to me I would be happy to read! In addition I have some specific questions:

1. Does egr and dpf apply to my year truck or is this emissions stuff only on later models?
2. What is needed to actually "delete" it? Are there physical replacement parts or is this process done with a programmer?
3. What product(s) do you recommend I use?

Thanks!

Also I plan on having a 4" or 5" turbo back exhaust system (no muffler) installed...if that has an impact on anything.

Your truck doesn't have an EGR or a DPF. I would recommend a TS 6pos Chip and a good set of Isspro or Autometer Gauges.

Great to hear! Thats funny i'm acutally online now looking at reviews for the TS 6pos chip. I want to get a chip that looks after the tranny not just give more power. Any place in particular you recommend purchasing the chip from?
Also where do you recommend mounting the gauges?

We usually mount gauges on A-Pillar.

I have a 6pos TS Chip in my truck and love it. still have a few mods I want to put in but over time will get the all done. You can buy them from several places, depending on where you're located you can find fluctuating prices on them. I got mine off of Amazon and it was a reasonable price.
