Default 2003 7.3 Start Issue please Help

A friend of mine has a 2003 7.3 and it has been running perfectly fine. He was backing a trailer and didn't see the tree and well you can guess the rest. He hit it so hard it bent his draw-tite hitch, he pulled up off the tree and then turned his truck off. We looked over the bent bumper etc. and he attempted to crank the truck with no luck. I thought at first it was the fuel shut off switch on the passenger kick panel but not it. Checked fuses and none are blown, all dash lights are coming on and fuel pump is working and pumping hard. Anyone heard of this happening? Maybe some wires got knocked loose? Why wouldn't it have died before he turned it off then?

When ether is sprayed into the intake it cranks up..so it's simply not getting fuel for whatever reason. Maybe i missed a fuse? (even though i checked 3 times)

Any help would be awesome..needs to be fixed asap

did you drain the fuel bowl and then turn the key on to see if it fills up?

well, that's about as far as my knowledge goes. Sorry. at least we know fuel is getting to the motor, now it's just a question of why isn't it firing. Try the under cover valve harness, Try the cps, It's something simple, obviously, just please let us know what it turns out to be once you figure it out. Is it just clicking under the passenger side hood? electrical connection perhaps, knocked something loose perhaps on the starter? jump the terminals at the solenoid..?? power there or not?

I'm sorry I can't be of more help, I'm new too. Good luck.

It's turning over and it's turning over at a really good rate so batts are good as is starter..it's just not getting fuel into the cylinders. I just finished up fixing my dodges front end today (again) so i will be able to look at it more tmrw. Even if you're new two minds are better than one. Thanks for the help!

Done, rechecked all fuses all good. Thinking maybe it's the cps. Hate to get one and not be it, but gotta do what you gotta do.

New cps bought and installed to no avail. He knows someone with a scanner to look and see if it's putting up any codes. When he gets it fixed i will post the problem for someone else future reference
