Default waste motor oil?

I have done quite a bit of reading waste motor oil. One thing that never comes up though is the quality of oil or any information of the oil that I would think would be most important. I personally would never run 5000 mile diesel oil in the tank but I work at a Nissan dealership that uses semi synthetic 5w30 at intervals of 3500 miles. If I use lower mileage cars that don't go over the recommended interval, do you think I would have any problems with a 60/40 mix? 60 diesel 40 oil

The truck has 161k, wicked wheel, k&n intake, 4 inch exhaust, Diablo sport tuner
Ext cab long bed, 8inch lift, 38.5s
