Default Told to remove my programmer ?

Hey guys I had felt my 2003 7.3l with my dad while I was out of state, he took it to a ford dealership to figure out what check engine light came on, well the dealership told him to tell me to remove my programmer cause it's throwing codes, is it true that the programmer can hurt my truck like that ? Have yall ever had issues like that ? I have a edge evolution programmer . Any advice would help thanks for reading

Ya, they change timings, and pressures, and other junk, and if you dont have the hard parts to support the chip and give it what it wants, the truck is gonna complain.

the programmer will make the truck throw codes, but if its a good programmer from a reputable company, it shouldent hurt your truck. biggest things to worry about is watch your boost pressure and egt's. as long as they dont go too high, you should still be fine with your programmer.

Most programmers allow you to tune back to stock, so try it out on stock see if the problem persists. The check engine light could be a bunch of different problems fill us in with some more information
