Default Non Smoker

Didn't want to post another hard start thread but thats what I got. She starts easy only after been running awhile. Most mornings It takes a long time to start. Takes a long time to warm up too. Cleaned fuel bowl. Had batts tested. New alt. How can I check my solenoids? What is the ICP? Parts house don't know what that is. Also she don't smoke. Not at start or hard acceleration, shouldn't it? Thanks in advance.

The icp is your injector control pressure it is a solenoid that tells your truck how much oil pressure your injectors need. your truck is not suppose to smoke black smoke is wasted fuel. and as far as the hard start it is probably your glowplugs. Keep your black heater plugged up or put a set of glow plug in it. at oriellys they are like 11 dollars a piece. i think the icp at orielly was around 50 it also comes with a new harness (be sure to replace the harness and icp) one way to tell if it is bad is see if the icp has oil comming out of the plug. and i would replace the valve cover gaskets while in there.

Also check the the glow plug relay
