i have a 2000 f350 7.3l 158,000 truck ran good till last week. has no power at all when reving or even goin down the road around 1500 to 2000 rpms the truck jus sounds terrable. kind of like a miss fire. idles fine. it started smokin more then usual of white and black smoke. the way it sounded seemed like a turbo. took turbo off and wheel spins freely and has no play. already bought another turbo. now im stuck. i started to replace turbo lost my patience with the up pipes and now im stuck on whats really wrong with it. some please help me. truck goes to shop tomarrow for turbo install. and i jus have a hard time beleiveing that its the turbo after i checked the wheel when it was sitting on the bench of coarse

 

sounds like injector troubles to me...... Could be the valve cover harness under the valve cover for the glow plugs and injectors, somtimes they get hot and the connectors melt away and dont get good signal to the injectors so they dont open they way they should. New harness is usually 50 to 75 bucks.

 

Ill have to take a look at it. That escaped my mind. Thanks man
