I just bought a 2000 powerstroke and driving it the last few days I have realized this thing is a sloth. Im not sure if this is a big deal but in my cummins I could always hear the turbo whine in this I can't. Another thing is the shift points seem high close to 2500 rpm with hard shifts (pretty sure tranny is done).

Is this how all 7.3s are or should i be checking somethings? if so, what?

 

put a boost gauge on it make sure its making boost,i can hear my turbo, stock top stock it should be as fast if not faster than the cummins

 

How many miles does it have?

As far as the turbo, won't hear it much with factory intake and exhaust...
