Default Late Model 7.3 single shot injector questions

So I've got a 2000 7.3. Best diesel motor ever built in my opinion, but that's not the issue in this discussion. I've read before that single shot injectors from early model 7.3's would give you small power boost and enhance the sound of a 7.3. My question is could I go to a diesel website and order injectors for an early 7.3 ps (94-97) and hook them up to my 2000 model without any problem? Wasn't sure if there was a major IDM change along with split shots or something else that would hinder a direct hook up and go mod.

way less fuel with 94-97 you would want AFTERMARKET singles and a ts 6postion chip programmed for the singles then you would be good to go, depending on model singles you get you may need a better high pressure oil pump and a better fuel system is ALWAYS a good thing...

Thanks, CMCA, I thought a set of 120cc single shots, an adrenaline hpop, and a fass regulator and hd series pump would be sufficient. If you have a better setup off the top of your head then feel free to throw it out there, I'm open to anything.

i wouldn't waste my time with 120cc, most stage ones are 160cc, and you shouldn't need an upgraded HPOP unless you go bigger than that, although it won't hurt.

look at AC's. those weren't found in any powerstroke, just the internationals. you should be ok on the HPOP, but you will need a chipped to run them properly.

You would be going from 140cc to 120cc... Forget the single and split shot discussion for a second and realize you would be going from more fuel to less fuel... You would be giving up power...

You need to be looking at aftermarket injectors... 160cc single shots can be built from your stock AD injector cores... Talk to these guys, Rosewood, Full Force, Swamps...etc...
