Default map sensor

Hey I was checking out my turbo the otherday and when I was pulling the hoses out of the way I found my map sensor wrapped around some wires zipped to the harness. The person that had the truck before me made his own cold intake form rubber hoses. Should I go get a new map sensor and cut a hole put it back in or does it matter

MAP sensor sits in the passenger side towards the fire wall. there is a small hose that comes off the spider to the MAP. can you post a picture of what you're talking about?

if the hose is unplugged from the map sensor it can cause it to not have as much power and it will blow black smoke about the same as if you had a programmer. Theres a nipple on the back of the map sensor that your hose will slide on to.

If the picture is on your computer, just click "post reply", then below the reply box, there is a bunch of "additional options", click on "manage attachments" and find your picture wherever it is stored on your computer...
