Default ABS light and Speedometer

today speedometer didnt work and abs light showed up?? any help out there

Check the rear speed sensor, its on top of the rear axle. Pull it out and clean it, reconnect it with dielectric grease before hooking it back up. That should take care of the issue.

did that..nothin..changed to new sensor..nothing?

Have to pull some codes at this point. There are speed sensors on the front axle, but they dont control the speedo... Check the wire harness all the way foward.

did you ever find your problem. I had a similar problem and it was the ground wire for the abs module its right in front of the drivers head light on the rad.. core support.

I can tell you now. Its a bad ABS Module, or like he said, a bad connection.

I had the same thing happen on my 2000 F-350, ended up being a sensor in the rear that needed to be replaced.

I Garranty Its the speed sensor in Rear axle no if ands or buts about it It happend to me twice once on my 7.3L and once about three months ago on my 6.0l powerstroke in both instances loosing my speedo replaced sensor checked A OK Just got a bad sensor buddy

Really? Because I changed my VSS twice and it ended up being my ABS module... So....
