Is there any fluid in the valley of the engine?

Pop open the hood. Look in the valley of the engine. Might want a flashlight...

Just checked and there is a little puddle. Smells like fuel? Got a second opinion from my mechanic and he said the fuel filter needs to be changed and that's where the leak is coming from. Around the seals. What do y'all think?

doubful. the only seal that would be leaking would be the lid. is there fuel running all down the lid? i'd check the lines going into and out of that area, lift pump-under neath the fuel filter area but towards the rear a little is an area i'd check. i'd clean it up real good and try and keep an eye on it. sensor on the back that leaks also.

After doing some more looking around the area and looking online.. It seems to be the fuel filter drain valve. i heard its a common problem? most likely going to buy the part and see if that fixes the problem.

check ebay. they sell them. its the little yellow handle with the new orings. they do leak but there are about 5 other areas there that leak fuel too so i wouldn't rule them out. let us know what you find! btw, some years drain valves are different so get the right one! good luck

I just replaced the valve. Pain in the *** To get at, but when I started her up its leaking from the same spot! How tight should those screws be? I don't want to over tighten
