Default 2001 Ford F-250 7.3l

I have a 2001 F-250 w/ a 7.3L and a manual trans. It has a chip in it but not sure what kind it is. I have about 3k to spend and was sondering what everyone recommended I buy to increase HP and make it louder with more smoke. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Also I was think of buying a BullyDog Triple GT Tuner and an AirRaid Intake with a 5" MBRP exhaust, what do you think?

if your going for more horse power get gauges first isspro are the only way to go with gauges a must have is a pyro gauge it watches your etgs and on a 7.3 the max you should go is 1250 deg anything else after than isnt safe for your truck. cold air intake is always a great place to start i have a K&n but airRaid makes a good one too. MBRP makes a great exhaust you could get a 4inch exhaust instead of a 5 but you can go with a 5. i have one on mine and love it. the new exhaust will make your truck alot louder people can hear me coming from way down the street. id recommend getting a 6 pos custom burned chip lots of dealers sell them and you can get them custom burned. that's a good place to start but if you get any kind of tuner make sure you get gauges you can burn up your motor really quick without gauges.

i would def go with a ts 6 position chip. can pick them up for 300 bucks new...or spring a little more and get custom tunes from a variety of different tuners out there. php, tony wildman, swamps, beans, kt, and others. you wont be dissapointed!

7.3L <I>Power Stroke</I> Chip

I would go with the S&B intake over banks, it is much better and cheaper, also stay away from K&N with the 7.3l

MBRP makes good exhaust kits, performance truck products has the cheapest price on the net MBRP Exhaust Sale - Diesel Exhaust
coupon code MBRP15 gets you 15% off all mbrp exhaust systems

gtp38r turbo

Full force stage 1 injectors

this is a good around 3k reliable daily driver setup

plus tranny upgrades if your not manual

They are awesome with gassers but people had trouble with the 7.3l kit dusting turbos. Seems it was more than just and handful of people too, i think it was mainly from user error and people not cleaning and oiling the filters correctly. for the price tho there are better options that are easier to clean and maintain, s&b, AFE, Ford Severe Duty Air Induction System(AIS)
Another option is to Google do it yourself Tymar filter, which is a great budget homemade filter system than tons of people run and love.
