Bought a 2002 f250 came with a 1705 superchip. I really just want to use a chip for Economy not interested in more power and stuff. Should i install gauges before using it? Is it bad for the transmission?

 

Id run it... I would definitely get, at the very least, a pyrometer to keep an eye on exhaust gas temps...

I bought 1 for my 02 when I first bought the truck , I upgraded to a xcal2 with custom tunes. Differance was like night and day. But what you want to use it for it will do just fine!! I had no problem with it , just wanted custom tunes to help out with all the mods on my truck.

 

Its a good little tuner. Ran one for years.

Pyro is a must with any power adder.
