Front end overhaul, suggestions?
Yo guys,
So I noticed a bunch of clanking in my front end and noticed my ball joints where shot. So I looked under my pickup and seemed like it needed more then just ball joints. I decided while I'm digging deep into the front end I'd just better give it a once and for all face lift. Wanted to do several things and needed some suggestions from you pickup masters what kind and brand to use. I don't want to spend a million bucks on it but have decided to go with good quality parts (I've got the money for it, as long has it's not over a million $, LOL.)
The plan:
-replaced ball joints with the good NAPA brand ball joints.
-replaced output shaft seals inner and outer.
-Need: wheel hub assembly, thinking of using Timken brand.
-Need: good quality dual steering stabilizer/dampener shocks (Don't know what type or brand to use)
-Probably need both front steering rods (Don't know what type or brand to use)
-Wanted to upgrade to adjustable shocks (Don't know what type or brand to use)
-Any other ideas you guys can think of for me to install. Don't want to do this "ever" again.
Thanks in advance.

go with MOOG ball joints. i don't think MOOG makes tir rods, but if they do get them. i went with the cheaper napa set on my 94 and haven't had any problems. go to ---> Dynatrac - Confidence to ExploreŽ they make a very good spindle kit to get rid of the unit bearings. they have ball joints to but i can't say if they're good or not. just get a ranch shock for the steering stabilizer. do the trac bar bushings while you're in there.
