flex pipe for intake?

Default flex pipe for intake?
This may seem like a dumb question, but I would like to do the napa 6637 intake, and I was wondering if I could just get a piece of 4 inch flex pipe and get rid of the stock piping to the filter?

get a piece of 4" pipe with a 30 deg bend...
