well, i dug around and found my boost line was leaking around the gauge because they didn't send enough and i used some i had that was "close". re did everything now right before it shifts it peaks at 18. is that normal for all the mods i have. i figured it would be at least 20-22

whenn my truck was stock it would do 14-17psi with no chip if i really got on it and with the ts chip i could get it up to 22-24psi and now with bigger injectors it will get into the low 30s

I'm having the same problem with my 1994.5 PSD. Not much boost at all.. don't have a gauge on it yet to check the exact numbers but know it's not boosting as it should. I'll check the above recommended lines and hoses for leaks as well.

That truck sounds like crap!

Something is wrong with your fuel or HPO system, nothing in that video leads to a boost issue. Your truck will make 0 boost at idle or even just reving it like that. No load, no boost.

Check your fuel pressure, and your HPO pressures.

So you think the turbo is fine? I know these don't make a ton of boost but even at idle you should hear it spool, especially with no muffler and the larger air filter.

What do you mean by HPO pressure system and how would I go about checking it? If the HPO system was the problem, would this be the reason I can't hear the turbo?

Thanks for the response, I knew something wasn't right.

You will not hear much of anything even with the straight pipe...

Example, my wifes Excursion...

You will need Auto Enginuity to run some tests on your HPO system...

What I want my PSD to sound like..

I do have plans for a TS 6 pos and a 5'' from cat Diamond Eye exhaust.. but I need to get this problem fixed first.

I may know someone with an Auto Enginuity scanner, I will check tonight. HPO stands for what?

BTW... kick a$$ Excursion, those are some of my favorite vehicles. Nice seat of rim/tires too!

if you want more boost psi, put a tighter exhaust housing (.84 AR) on her, and a couple of 3/4" freeze plugs will take care of that restriction called your ebpv, I get 28 psi out of mine. you might like it
