You won't "notice" a difference... But this cutting out and restarting sounds like a classic CPS issue... Autoparts store CPS's have been known to be bad out of the box... Just my .02

Got a blue cps from IH and no change. went through all the wiring again, still cant find anything bad. Starting to wonder if it is something in my hpop. Just dont know if a hpop problem would be this hit-or-miss kind of problem?? It will still have times when it runs great.

Any opinions on wether or not the anti drainback valve could be causing these issues?

If your hpop resivor is full when you check it I would say no, not an issue with the lpop to hpop check valve. A drainback issue would be more of a fire and die, fire and die, fire and run thing on start up. My 99 does this if it sits for a week or so and thats my guess to whats wrong with it. As for your issue, does sound like a cps issue but from my experience could be what you least suspect.
. Cps wiring good? I had one once that had an edge juice on it and whoever put it on didnt tie the wiring and the belt rubbed it..

I have 60psi at fpr schrader valve, don't beleive it is a fuel problem. I am at the point of thinking it might be bad orings in the hpop or something screwy in the ipr wiring.

I ordered another reman pcm after running the lab scope on the truck and now the truck is running like new. The pcm was losing track of the signal from the cps. I do not know why A1cardone was not able to fix the problem in my old pcm. Glad to be driving it again!

cwbydw, where did you get your reman pcm from?

ive found a few used ones on ebay, but none have the TEE5 code. is it REALLY that important that i have the same code?
or as long as it is the same drivetrain, i.e. auto/manual
