Extreme as in sustained heavy high speed...
Best towing set up, not having to worry about anything, just drive... Stock.

If you want a bit more HP...

AC injectors (160cc/stock nozzles)
H2e (standard not modded)
Superduty IC

I have a 3" downpipe. How much cooler would a 4" run?

I have a diy intake with napa 6637 filter (equivalent). Is there anything significantly better?

I have a 6.0 intercooler. Is there anything significantly better? Is this significantly better than a S.D. 7.3 I.C.? What about aftermarket?
4" down pipe will not fit without building a tunnel for it. Or a 2" body lift.

6637 is all the air you need. You will not get anything better as far as flow goes.

Would 3" plenums make much difference?
Not really, but if your in there you might as well swap them out, more so if you go with an H2e kit.

Would largerer injector nozzles affect temps (assuming the same quantity is injected).
Larger nozzles allow a tuner to inject the same ammount of fuel, in a shorter time. Within reason larger nozzles can lead to lower EGT's (this is in the normal injector relem... we are not talking 400/400 injectors.)

I have a H2e turbo (not installed yet). Is this the best I can do (within reason)?
H2e is a good tough turbo. Throw it in.

Anything I'm forgetting about?

Water injection is a subjuct unto itself and I hope to avoid the discussion until later (or seperately) assuming anyone takes an interest in this thread. PLEASE start your own thread if you can't wait.

Water injection... good stuff, when your ready let me know.

There it is!

Now that we have established what constitutes the coolest running obs engine set-up, How would this compare to other models ie. 7.3 superduty, 6.0, 6.4, 6.7 with similar best case modifications (within reason and all without water injection).

LOL... Your weird ya know that right???

Once you IC a OBS, it is more or less a superduty, just add a 17* HPOP and electric fuel and your there...

6.0 Needs nothing to be a great tow rig, would throw a mild tune on one and rock it.

6.4 is a monster, just needs the DPF deleted...

6.7... 400hp from the factory, if you need more towing power then that, you need a CDL.

I have a CDL and our trucks at work are only 435hp. Sucks when your pulling 290 barrels of drill mud

well ya... but your pulling 80k or more (not sure what your legal limits are up there)

With a 250-350-450 your going to max out at 35k or less...

If you try and pull with our trucks at more then 350hp for sustained time, your going to melt down the rear end, the trans, the T case and any number of other items...

We have no limits. An unloaded truck is 80k+ you can easily be around 200-300k loaded

Down here in the mainland it is... You can go 105,000 with added tag axles, but beyond that you have to have special permits.
