Default Running boards

Figured I'd add a couple photos of my recently added running boards to my OBS. They are from a 2004 F150 crewcab.

The truck is a 1997 with a ZF6. Only 212K on the odometer.

Thanks guys.

I used the original mounts and cut off the top part. See attached photo with the circle.

Then I bought four 1 foot sections of 2" x 3" rectangle steel to put in the channel for stiffness. I drilled 4 holes in each block and used 3" carriage bolts. I had to use a piece of 1/2" flat stock between the tube and the truck to shim it to level up the running boards. They are a little off level, but tilted right so that step in feels good. The steel tube will get coated with some herculiner to prevent rust.

There is a little flex when I step on them. I weigh 200lbs. The flex is LESS than the Carr hoop steps that were on the truck.
