Well like I said earlier, if you have lots of smoke, that means the truck is trying to fire. But there is not enough heat to fire off.

Check to insure the relay is working, then check or replace the glow plugs.

how do u check the ohms on the glow plugs and were should the ohms be?

if the rpm's arent going up while cranking could it possibly be the crank sensor? that would cause mo start with fuel to the cylinder.

checked and the rpm guage does move so really the only thinng left is the glow plugs

glow plugs are common on a 7.3 but even more common is just the relay going bad and dont get one from napa their junk the ford relay is much better the napa ones burn out had over and over waste of money
