Nope... IDI's are mechanical, not electronic.

i was going to ask if you were sure it's 3", but that makes more sense being a IDI.

so. With this truck being all Mechanical. Would getting new injectors or mine drilled out be a right step in the direction of more horses. Also if i do that then wont i need a larger fuel pump and a high pressure oil pump? And what about the intake?

injectors would do it. and you DO NOT have a high pressure oil pump if its an IDI. you have an injection pump feeding high pressure fuel to injectors that pop at a certain pressure. but you can turn up the pump and upgrade injector nozzles or just get ones with a higher rating. And yes an intake is a must. K&N, AFE, theres a bunch of different brands.

no turning up the pump first will not hurt anything. But before you do that you need a egt gauge. Those IDIs get hot really quick

I would look into a turbo kit. Banks used to make one. Maybe you could find one on ebay are just build one from scratch utilizing a turbo that fits your fuel demand. Or.... You could ditch the IDI and drop in a 12V!
