i have a 97 powerstroke and it was going through the symptoms of a sticking ebp valve. i started looking at it and where the solenoid rod goes through the pedestal and under the turbo it is stripped or something. have no idea how the e clip came off, its like the clip unthreded itself but there is no way to do so because it is on the ball that the clip attaches to on the valve. i think the rod is stripped out because i cant get the clip to thred back on. so im wondering if i need to pull the turbo and get a new solenoid or what? has anyone had anything like this happen before and any advice?
