New truck!
I just picked up a 95 PSD XLT, 4x4, automatic and so far I'm pretty impressed! Here's some pics, I've since picked up an A.R.E. camper shell to avoid CA weight fees... Soooo worth it! I've been a Toyota guy for years.... but the Toy has got to the point that I should tow it to the trails... Enter Ford!
It has a couple issues, but the most pressing is a random stumble. While driving the RPM's will randomly drop, some times so bad that it will stall, if I'm going fast enough it sometimes will start back up on it's own (which I thought was odd being that it's an auto...), sometimes it will die outright. But always fires back up. It feels like a fuel starvation issue, I have changed the fuel filter on top of the engine. Problem happens on both front and rear tanks. Thanks for any insight on that!

Anyways....sounds convincingly like the infamous cam sensor. Probably on it's way out....
Raider Nation! that's what everyone has said so far! I'm the only one who didn't see it... hehe
The cam sensor is cheap and easy to replace right? Don't tell me I have to pull the water pump, cause I just changed that....

Does not sould like a CPS to me, sounds like a fuel or HPO issue. Possibly a IPR or ICP sensor.
You need to find a way to scan it. Auto zone scanners will not work, needs to be a Snap on, Auto Enginuity or like. Even a superchips programer will read the codes.

the reason it started up by itself is the torque converter was locked, that is why it only happens sometimes, the other time it doesn't start on it's own is the torque is unlocked and it rolls like it's in neutral.

I agree with Joe, it sounds like an icp or ipr.
