Default 95 clutch

the clutch on my 95 powerstroke started chattering real bad the other day, pulled the inspection plate off the bell and found loose springs in the clutch-not ralleling around in the bottom of the bell loose but loose like reach up there and move em around freely...anyone know the cause of it and if it a must fix now type deal-gotta drive it to work everyday. Also, if this does need fixed immediatly, will the clutch out of my old crumpled up 92 idi 2wd work? my 95 is 4x4...Thanks fer the help

I think the IDI has a different clutch then the psd. Your better off buying a new clutch.

i couldnt tell ya for the idi clutch. are the springs still inside the clutch or have they fallen out? the springs just help take the initial shock as soon as you engage the clutch while movin

I just got thru pullin the inspection plate again and some of the puzzle's pieces fell out so i started diggin and pulled out the loose springs and dampeners inside them, i'd post a pic if i knew how to do it from me fone but i aint sure how...anywho, the springs are out of the flywheel-not the clutch, i hear that they fail due to bad injectors or a bad ip, and also that since they are no longer there, that will cause the tranny to fail due to the harmonic vibration....please enlighten me and lemm know if i need a new flywheel asap or not, also-are these trucks stock with a dual mass or single mass flywheel? thanks again for the help....good news tho, the chattering has stopped
