Default cyclinder #5 fault balance

I have a 95 7.3 and check engine light is on and the truck isrunning extremly bad. The code comesup #5 cyclinder fault balance. Need help. What does this mean?

Could be the harness, could be the injector... Did you run a buzz test/cct?

You could swap that injector with another, see if the problem follows the injector or stays with the hole, that will help you narrow it down... Also, you could run the truck with the valve covers off and watch the oil spouts, all should be fairly equal in the amt of oil spilling out the passages...

Could be low compression, broken/bent pushrod too.....

Describe "running extremely bad".

I changed the valve cover gasket and the main harness for injectors 5and 7 and that fixed the problem. Truck runs like brand new now. Thankyou for your help.

O and yes I did run a buzz test and the injectors sounded like they were suppose to.
