Default bad computer???

hey everyone, i posted earlier bout rough idle condition and check engine light is on. truck wont rev...i unhooked my chip like someone told me to do, and the thing started and died almost immediately. then it wouldn't start...would you guys think the computer is shot??? i took it off and shook it to see if water was in it like someone suggested, but i don't feel anything.

You get any further help on this? It does not sound like a PCM issue. Sounds like a UVC or an IDM issue.

Do you have a way to pull codes from the PCM?

The PCMs in these trucks are very robust and rarely fail from regular use.

Sounds like you have some work ahead of you.

I still think you should check the code, It might help diagnose further...
