thax for the help found trans. dip stick tube was just barely touching the up pipe this was the noise maker just simple mistake made all that noise. hope this helps someone else. has anyone hear of a smoke switch for the 95 PSD I would like to make it roll a little coal every once in a while without killing the mpg. I have seen chevys and dodge do this but never old powerstroke.

 

NO smoke switch... Build for power, not for smoke. If you blow smoke and only have 170 hp, how cool are you?

Smoke is unburnt fuel...Or lack of air. Either give it more fuel or take away some air. You will have smoke.
