Default 96 ambulence water pump help

Howdy, I need help asap getting the fan off the water pump housing on a 96 7.3 ambulance(took out the belt as well,. and i need the help asap as this is our main response rig on our dept). Right now I have the rad and fan shroud out along with all the hoses and the t-stat. All that is left is the fan. Anyhting else i should know before i work on this any more? I for the life of me cannot figure out how to remove the fan. Oh and being a newbie on this forum, i did search but it would not load so please forgive.

Their is a specialty tool for removing the fan. The fan is held on my one big nut. You will want to get a new fan belt to hold things tight while you try and get the fan off. you can also use a impact but i really don't recomend it or it will look like teh nut on mine ...mangled... The only way i could get the fan off mine was pull the waterpump and weld a large nut to the nut and a steel bar to the impeller... No offence but if this is a emergency veh and its you first responce veh why not take it to a profecional to get the work done you have peoples lives in your hands their bud if you do something wrong
