Default HELP PLEASE

Won't start. If I crank long enough, I get a 1212 (ICP voltage not at expected level), and 1280 (ICP circuit out of range low).

Here's a quick test....

My guess is that you can crank it, but you don't have any injection pressure.

Crank the engine with the ICP sensor unplugged. If you still have no start, but you can hear the injector solenoids "clicking", then you really don't have any injection pressure.

You really need to see what ICP is.

PHP, I did what you said, and I believe I have NO injection pressure. Could it be as simple as the icp connector since I was crawling all over the engine while replacing the turbo O-rings (after which it would not start)?

No. If you have the ICP sensor unplugged, it will start (unless you have no actual pressure).

Check the IPR connector. It is located on the back of the high pressure oil pump between the pump and the fuel bowl. Unplug it and reconnect it. Or else make sure that it's not melted.....

I am not getting 12 volts at either wire going to the ipr - even while cranking. The schematic I have says one is vpwr (12volts when key is on), and the other is ipr(control). I am leaning toward a wiring problem since I also had the fuel filter housing removed to fix a fuel leak.

Found it! I forgot to re-connect the wiring harness on the side of the filter housing (through which the icp wires run). I was so sure I had remembered everything. D'oh thanks php

At least it's running, right?

Good job.
