i changed the fuel filter b4 winter hit and checked it recently it looks ok and fuell in the bowl is clear. and no excessive smoke just a lil puff after the shift. there is no real power being made even with the turbo in its sweet spot.best way to describe it is it feels lathergic
To check boost, you either need to get a set of gauges (one of which should be boost), or read the map sensor with a scanner. The best thing to do is read your codes (one of which may be low boost). You really need this information to help diagnose your problem.
Check your fuel pressure at the schrader valve (looks like a tire valve stem) on the fuel pressure regulator with pencil-type tire pressure gauge or a fuel pressure gauge. The pencil-type will will get diesel in it and will probably be useless for air pressure after doing this.
This will probably cause diesel to leak or spray a bit. Test the fuel pressure at idle. Normal pressure is considered to be in the 40 - 80 PSI range.
