Default 96 PSD 7.3 with a rough idle and knock

My kiddo just purchased a 96 PSD with the 7.3. The truck is super clean -- a quad cab short bed, mint inside and out -- but the engine runs a bit rough.

We hooked up a Snapon scanner to it, and got a few weird codes that do not register (p1e1e) and I'm assuming from the rough (and low) idle and a miss at higher rpms, that we have the fairly common injector wire harness problem.

Not a lot of smoke, truck runs decent other than the miss and knock sound from it.

Injectors were replaced about 50K ago and didn't solve the problem.

Also showing an EPC code after running warmed up -- likely needs cleaning.

Any ideas about the wiring harness under the valve covers? Where can I get one, how much does it cost, and how hard is it to replace? Anything else we should look at?

Any International place will have the UVC, do it right and replace the gasket at the same time.

Run a injector buzz test and it should help locate the problem child.

I ran the buzz test and had one long buzz with 8 short buzzes. Scanner tossed an undecipherable code during the process.
