Default cleaning an intercooler

After installing a used 6.0 i.c., I have done some research and am planning to do a ccv mod. Mostly to keep the oil and soot from clogging the i.c. Since I happen to have the i.c. off again, I was wondering how to clean it out. I was thinking of capping one end and filling it with some sort of solvent for a while and then flushing it out. Any thoughts on what solvent? any other suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks guys.

I was originally thinking simple green. Then I thought about dawn dish soap. Now, after a little more research, I'm thinking gasoline.

Done! I used gasoline first, then a 1:2 mix of simple green and hot water, then several fills and flushes of hot water. I'm fairly confident it worked well.
