Default 4r100

Tranny slips in reverse but all forward gears work normal,you can rev it up and then tranny engages and will pull in reverse. Tranny is a ford reman with about 10000 miles on it,

I dont know too much because ive just got on this site, but i think i remeber reading in another article about it have something to do with your torque converter, your tranny may be fine.

Sounds like the pump is taking a dump. Check the fluid level, if my bronco runs low it does that too...

i hope its just low fluid and possibly a pump -- been thru 3 transmissions and all three lost reverse...

Something I just thought about... Doesnt really matter, but your tranny is not a 4r100, its a E4od...

Yes it is a 4r100. I swapped the e4od for a ford reman 4r100.

suprised you were able to make that work, the PCM is looking for things that are not there... or in differant places... Interesting...

I was told as far as the elcetronics on the 4r100 are the same as the e4od. Worked great for about 10000 miles. Another guy mentioned that part of the valve body could have came loose and that is what i will check next.

Do you have engine braking in manual Low?
