Talking Injector Question

Since I bought my 97 psd it was always kinda hard too start in the morning, and never Idled quite rite. A month ago when I started tearing it apart for the rebuild I noticed 7 of the injectors were "AA" code and 1 of them was an "AB" code could this combination have been the reason for hard starting and rough idle?

Some vehicles came with a different #8 injector...probably not the problem.

Your truck should have all AA code single shots in it.

The AB code in the number 8 hole is a split shot from a early 99 model or a 97 Cali model.

Only models that had an odd injector in number 8 is the late 99-03 AD code trucks and that number 8 injector was AE code.

So the AB in your #8 hole is not correct and you need to swap it for an AA. This could be some of your idle issue but it should not be causing a hard start issue.
