dont know what motor i got

Default dont know what motor i got

i got a 94 f 350 5 speed manual. it says direct injection turbo on the plastic cover on top the engine and i has a garret turbo on it. i dont know if its a powerstroke or what. it says turbo diesel on the fender and it dont say power stroke any where. it has the horse power rating of 215 at 300. so i need some help and there is a sticker on top thats says it has the pcm reprogrammed. mod num f5tf 12a650 bte.. some one please help

I am 99% sure that you have 7.3 Powerstroke in your engine bay.

its a powerstroke, the very early powerstrokes said turbo diesel on the fender.

Yup what they said. Ford did not call a powerstroke until 95. but its still the 7.3

Also check the block for some stamped numbers. Then post the numbers on a forum or call your ford dealer to get the exact details. I believe you can get the year, location where the block was produced ect.

Doesnt matter... If it says DI its a powerstroke...

94's were only avalable with a 5 speed as well...

...The right way to tell is to look at the eighth character of the vin number. 'F' means its a Power Stroke, and 'K' indicates IDI. All of the '94s had 'Turbo Diesel' under the F_50 badge whether it is a PSD or IDI. If it says DI on the plastic she's a PSD.
