YIKES!!! That's quite the number. At 65 I run about 2200 with 315/75/16s. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from the factory trucks with an auto came with 4.10s and the sticks came with 3.73s. When I swapped the gears on mine, That's what my vendor told me.

My 97 powerstroke runs about the same.

 

What your saying sounds normal compared too my 97

 

i have a 97 with a 5 speed and factory 4.10 gears. although i bought the truck from my uncle and he bought it new and may have special ordered it that way

 

i got a 94 5 spd with 4:10s in it. i have a set of 315/ 75 r 16 and i run 2500 doing 75 mph. it came factory with 4:10s

 

96 Auto 4.10 315/75R16 70mph @ 2000 rpm with 5#s
