Really 100 hp? I'm thinking about getting a chip, but I'm kind of worried about wrecking something. But, even if I had the chip set on 100 hp, I would not have a full 100 hp gain since I have stock injectors and so on... if I am correct ?

i know that the stock autos on the cummins can only hold 60hp over stock the fords same to have better auto trans thing is how many miles are on your stock trans do you tow alot. i know on the cummins a 100hp chip will give you 100hp even with stock injctors. but the fords are different.

My truck has 205,xxx miles on it and the transmission was rebuilt within the last year. I do little to no towing at all, and if anything it wouldn't be anything high in weight. Appreciate your help by the way.

i think you would be find with a chip make sure you get one that you can adjust while driving that way you can turn it down if you go an tow something. but like i said if you keep your foot out of it and drive normal i don't think you would have a issue. you could save your money and buy a good trans. or just put in a good tc. it all depends how much hp you want to push.

My motor seems a little tired. It is definatly on the downside in power. Im not looking for extreme pulling power, street racing speed, or mass amounts of smoke (well, maybe a little), but just a little bit more "get up and go".
