HAHA, well yes, if you want it to smoke a good amount your gunna need injectors,
if your really good with tools its possible you may do your own injectors, this will requier alot of work and you will need to cut down your intensifier pistions on your own. if your truck has alot of miles you may also have to replace your own O-rings. the truck wont smoke with just stage one injectors though, you will need a chip to compliment them. if you want some smoke then you will need a chip. a cheap chip would be a edge evoution or something genaric but if you want good performence go with swamps custome tuning or TW tunes or even DP tunes. hope that was helpfull to you.

So you just want smoke? put a bag over the filter, just wanting smoke is pointless

Now if you want performance get a custom tuned chip, but with stock injectors the truck aint gonna smoke much, these injectors are tiny stock, after that you can start to think of doing some stage 1 injectors or something along that line

Nah, i dont "just" want smoke... but its a diesel and diesel dust is B.A... I am very good with tools and am a part time mechanic, but what are some cheep tricks to do to these trucks mechanically without investing a shitload in money that can get me better times at the track?

not much you can do to get them runnin significantly faster times without money, you can do a resistor mod and stuff but it wont compare to a custom tuned chip

hey guys working on building my 97 stroker. I want to play every now and again but i also need it to pull my Bass Boat and or my 32ft 4 horse trailer with 12ft living quarters. I have a aftermarket intake. and guages i took the edge out after replacing my damn tranny so it has a new stock tranny in it. I need to know what aftermarket injectors to get like stage ones and can i put a 4inch exhaust on it. also whats a good custom chip going for and how much i am seeing alot of swamp tunes and i think it was beans tunes.
