Clutch Question
Who makes a good clutch for the 97 F250 powerstroke?
The clutch has been slowly going out for quite a while now, but as little as I drive the truck it's been doing fine. However, now she is starting to slip & it's almost time to get a new one. Hopefully I'll make it till next spring but she might not make it that long.
Figure I'll get the clutch someplace and then have a local shop install it.
Is there much of a difference between the South Bend & LuK clutch?
How about the stock dual mass flywheel, stay with it & hqave it resurfaced or upgrade to a single?
Truck is more about reliability that upgraded power, it's not a racer or a puller, but a daily driver.

with a south bend you really can't go wrong. As far as flywheels resurfacing them is fairly cheap. I had mine resurfaced at a local shop for $45...alot cheaper than buying a new one

Valair also makes good clutches for a decent price
