Default GPR voltage

so my truck hates starting in the cold, any where near freezing or below, so starting simple i checked the GPR. as typical i have 12 volts to the side that has constant power, but only 9 to the side that gets power once your ignition is turned onto the on position... could that be my problem, or at least part of it ?

OK, so i was outside and measured the ohms on each of the pins going to the glow plugs, they all measured between .2 and 2.0 ohms, BUT the plug on the passenger side rear is a little melted and smells burnt.... so i am assuming its bad?

if so where can i order one, and any info on changing it would be greatly appreciated.

You can order the dorman kit online and it should come with new pigtails... I would recommend doing both sides and new glow plugs and a relay. That will cover everything that aids in cold startup. Only other thing is oil quality and injectors. If it gets really cold changing to a synthetic 5-40 will help a ton...

it never gets super cold here... maybe around 0 degrees a couple times a year, but I plan on doing the wires and stuff asap, and i want to get injectors from swamp with my tax return, so since the glow plugs test good ill wait to do them until then.... unless i change the wires and pig tails and im still having issues... but since the test within spec I am thinking i wont, hoping i wont
