Default noisy truck

It’s a 96 7.3 f250 1 ton, I hear the engine ok but next to other truck same kind of year or at least body type it seems way to noisy it has a strait 3 in pipe no silencer and a intake the cheap one the “napa” any help on diagnostics or enlightening me thanks

Non -factory intakes are much louder.

the noise its not the turbo whistle im referring to its the engine noise that distinguish diesel engines its louder

a faulty icp or ipr can do this and the computer strategy can make a difference

sorry but could you explain whats the "ICP" or "IPR"
and what do you mean by computer strategy changing it or what

ICP is injection control pressure

IPR Is injection pressure regulator

its an automatic 1 ton i now its a 1 ton cause i had to change the front 4x4 bar from the dig to the hub and it was thiker than the 3/4, and th noise its not the turbo i like that its the cladsic diesel sound its louder than in other trucks
