Default Mechanical Fuel Pump

Your ecm take readings of multiple sensore such as the ICP(Injector Control Pressure) and IPR (Injector Pressure Regulator) and also the crank sensor you need 800 plus PSI of oil pressure and 55 PSi of fuel pressure to start your truck. Now what I would do first is disconnect both your BATTS for 15 minutes to let the ECM, and all the control moduals reset any codes, and then reconnect and try to start it. If thats a no go on the front driver VALVE COVER there is a sensor unplug(IPR) it and see if it will start the sensor is next to the HPOP the square looking deal on the top front of the engine. If that doesnt help and OBD II will be nice to have to scan the COMPUTERS.

ALSO what sparked?
Does the above info apply to the 7.3 IDI Turbo? I only ask because I can't remember ever getting 55psi out of a mechanical fuel pump.

Oh CRAP I have to seriously appologize I thoughT you had a powerstroke Well I wasted your time pretty good then. thats a whole new story then im sorry.

Well let me restart. If you need ether to start and run you truck then you IP is not creating enough pressure to pop the injectors. This can be for several reasons either your injection pump is weak and is bad or you have a weak transfer pump and its not supplying enough fuel.

I really sorry for messing up I thoughT you a a 7.3L Powerstroke I assumed since that was the year they came out was in 94. Any how your truck is not a heui system and does not run off the ecm. The powerstoke does not the IDI. But yes you have the OBDI and since there are hardly any kind of sensors on your truck it will proably not tell you much anyway. OBDII which came out in 94-95 have a ton of parameters you can read and watch and can make diagnoising these issues easily. Once again Im sorry for messing up

The most common idi issue is leaking return lines followed by lift pumps from my experience

So I found a leak at the main feed line to the IP. The leak I believe is coming from (I think) the connector to the IP. I looked at all of the return lines and they all appear to be fine. I am going to hope that if I replace that line, it will fix the problem. On a separate note. What would cause the WTS "Wait to Start" light from not staying on like it has in the past.

If you found a leak at the connection to the IP try tightining it first before you just go and replace it.
