Default plenum sticking closed

sometimes after a cold start up the plenum is stayin open longer then it seems like it should be but after awhile it goes away any suggestions

Are you talking about the ebpv? It is supposed to open when the truck warms up. If the cylenoid goes bad, it defaults to open.

Disconnect the AIT sensor going into your airfilter box. If its stock, its up front toward the engine. If the PCM receves a bad reading it settles on a temp of 100* and will not activate the EBPV selonoid.
