Majour diesel fuel leak out of my plenum?!?!
So I have a 97 F250 powerstroke turbo diesel, with 350,000km on it. This month has been brutal as far as repairs go!!! Never had any problems up until the last couple months.. Anyway, I was driving to work today and I could smell diesel. Then after only a few minutes of driving, I lost approx. a quarter tank of fuel. Made it to work however. Left my truck in the parking lot until I was done work. I had a buddy start the truck while I looked under the hood. I have diesel shooting out the plenum!!! Its obvious where its coming from. However, I thought the plenum is for the intake?? :/ ..... Any idea why their is fuel coming out of the plenum? I am baffled as to why its leaking fuel!!! I would just pull off the plenum, and re-seal it with "grey"... However I'm very concerned diesel will shoot up into my turbo!! Any advice??

It is defiantly a plenum.. From where the turbo leads to the block. I found another post by a user where he has fuel leaking out of his turbo! and POURING out the exhaust. Heres the link... Im almost certain this is the same problem!!!https://www.dieselbombers.com/ford-p...out-turbo.html So I found a video of a guy whos plenum is leaking air.. Just a broken seal around the edges causing the leak, However where he is leaking air, Mine is POURING out fuel in the EXACT same spot... Heres the link to the video, its about 30 sec long (If the screen go's black, just enlarge the video to see it)
This should really help to you understand what i'm talking about : P ... Anyway im thinking maybe the O-rings on the injectors ar shot?? cracked injector cup? Injector nozzle??? Blah... help!!! suggestions please!! I left my truck at work, and wont have time to pull valve covers or anything until after the weekend most likely! Just trying to fill my head before I tackle the problem This is the best info I found after hours of searching..
