i know im suppose to plug in the heaters when its cold,but today it 40 and my truck didnt want to start at all. i waited for the "wts" light then cranked and nothing. cycle the ignition wait for light then crank again nothing. all it would do is crank and belch grey smoke from the exhaust. it finally lit after 3-4 mins of this. what seems to be the issue?

 

Probably glow plug or glow plug controller related. Test the glow plug relay.
