Default Engine stall after turbo install

I am new here but going to see if you all could help me out. Had oil leaks at Oil rail end plugs and fixed on one head, not leaking on the other head so i left it alone. Had a time getting it to start, figured it had air in the system and it would work itself out. Ran the truck about 75 miles and it started alot better but noticed it was still leaking but coming from the back of the pedestal and around the acuator for the waste gate. Since then i have taken it all apart and replaced the pedestal with one without the acuator and got a blank waste gate along with rebuilding the turbo and replacing all orings. Last nite after install i started the truck up, it idled for only a minute then went to acting like it was running out of fuel and died. I tried starting it again and it just cranked and cranked. I did notice some oil at the back of the pedestal again and have taken the turbo out again, i guess i didn't have the pedestal-turbo bolts tight enough. Would that oil leak have kept the motor from running or what? I'm going to torque the bolts to the recommended 35 ft lb tonight and re-install.... Thanks

Have you checked the oil level in the crankcase?

Yes, the oil level is fine. I put the turbo back on and started it, ran for a few seconds and quit again, still leaking behind the pedestal, took it back apart, orings look good, re-torqued pedestal-turbo bolts, had 1 snap off, going to get more bolts tomorow

Got new bolts, tightened down, snapped another bolt @ 25 ft lbs, didn't even reach recommended torque of 35 lb, bolt is snapping off above the threaded hole, not bottoming out, i can unscrew the broken piece out with my fingers after i take the other 3 out. HELP!
