Default using coolant

So i am posting this about our completely stock 08 6.4L we have at work i assume its the egr cooler but i thought i would post this to see how comnon it is for the egr coolers to go bad in these motors? It started slowly using coolant and fogging out the road with a white cloud now it uses it much faster. Are these as much of a pain to do as the 6.0 or are they easier than them?

There's two coolers and you can't just delete them, they would need to be replaced. In order to do a full delete you'd have to get tuning, and a wastegate setup, since the coolers act as gates on these trucks.

Though they're not as common of a failure on these trucks, it can happen. I would get it taken care of sooner than later...

Good to know. I told him to bring it in a few months ago but he has been busy and has just been adding coolant whenever it needs it. He thinks this next week he will have time to bring it in.
