Amen little brother If you can afford one a them monsters who cares about fuel mileage. You got one and that's all that counts. I don't know what I'd do with it if I had it cause I'd be scared to use it for anything but I sure woud like to have it.

I agree, if you cannot afford the fuel, do not buy the truck! I am looking into the titan aux. tank, and then some of the mods mentioned, before I buy the truck. I would like to see a thread on the 450;s, you do not see them that often!

Logan is right and not only that but depending on what gears you get, your top will be limited to 84MPH......there are a couple ways to get around the mileage....lowest gears, slightly taller tires maybe, but two things will help the most, control your right foot and get the DPF off of there

Also, keep up on the flashes because I know 2 guys with 08 F350's and one gets decent mileage while the other gets the *****. They both run medium loads in the box and they both have auto trans. Both trucks are stock.

Default Hey

Remember, If you take the dpf off YOU HAVE TO GET A TUNER THAT WILL TURN THE REGEN OFF! If not your truck will go into default.

My Dad has a 08 F-450 King Ranch with 4.88's. He get about 13 MPG unloaded and 10 MPG loaded. His truck has 60K miles on it and he loves it. 58K of those miles have been pulling a 25K Lbs plus load. This truck replaced a 95 F-350 PSD with Hypermax goodies that has 650K miles on it and is still going strong. The 95 got about 12 MPG loaded.

The F-450 will pull any mountain in the country fully loaded without slowing down and it rides like a Limo compared to the 95.

Also don't forget about the 88mph speed limiter...
