I have run into this a few times since the 6.4 came out and what i was told is it is one of 3 things either the truck was struck by lightning, someone welded to the frame or body or there was a tuner installed in the truck...

and as far as the trucks i have had it happen to me there is no signs of lightning or welding influence.....

the only way to get the truck back on par was to install a new tcm and reprogram the ecm.

on one truck it needed the ECM...

 

well sounds like a good reason to keep it stock

 

I guess you have a SPARTAN for sale

 

TCM's will go for a dump while reprogramming with the FORD hardware/software - let alone the aftermarket stuff.

plannin on hangin on to the spartan it will prolly end up back on it cuz I'm already tired of the crappy mpg

 

so the truck acted up for a second again today didnt start so I pulled the key out and tried again and it started so wee will see if this becomes an on going problem

 

Sounds like the PATS interface is going for a ****, or maybe your key is going for a ****.

Try using your spare for a couple days and see if it repeats itself.

 

well I have driven it a few more times with no problems I actually need to start driving it more often to make sure its all good just prefer the mpg my rockcrawlers 4cyl gets around town.
