Default Gas station was closed, ran out of fuel?

What's the best way, or let say the right way to restart after running out of fuel.
The manual says to turn th'se key off and no to prime the fuel.
no that did not work.

two tow truck drivers looked for a prime pump and could not find one?

Thanks D. Stoker

What he said.

Is it 08? If it's an 08, they are NO fun to bleed.

An 05 or 06 shouldn't give you that much grief, unless the fuel pump's weak. I've never had any real issue getting the pre-08 trucks started after they've been run out of fuel. The pump will stay on for about 30 seconds, so just cycle the hell out of the key, 30 sec on, off, 30 sec on, off, 30 sec on.....

If it's an 08 - you will need an adapter to hook into the low pressure test port on top of the fuel cooler, and cycle the key in the same manner until the fuel comes out clear with no bubbles.

What you could do, is take the cap off the fuel filter and fill that bowl up with good clean fuel and cetane boost. It would at least help the system regain it's prime. Try that, then cycling the hell out of the key.

That make since. When I turned on the key I did not leave it on for long at all just on and off. May I never run out again, but if I do I'll know how to prime it.
Thanks d.stoker.
